A Satena Flight Arrives regularly at Medellin's Olaya Herrera Airport
Olaya Herrera is a nice little airport planted right in the middle of Medellin that is only used for local flights. You can fly to towns in Antioquia, the Eje Cafetero and even to Bogotá, but not much else.
People in Medellin love watching planes land and take off. There is even a small park near where the planes land that is heavily frequented on weekends. Satena is a well-liked airline operated by the Colombian Air Force. I've used their service to Bogotá quite a few times. If you have the chance to fly Satena, I recommend it. |
